The story of the three commandments of a wise father to his son and three daughters

The story of the three commandments of a wise father to his son and three daughters

In a Bedouin area, a father is dying. This father had three daughters and one son. When the man felt his death approaching, he asked his son to approach him to advise him. The father’s commandments to his son were very strange.

The father said, “My son, I recommend you three things. First, don’t stay close to the sheikh of the tribe. Second, don’t give your secret to anyone. Third, don’t marry your sister to a rich man.” and unconvincing

Time passed, and the young man’s sisters grew up. He presented the letter to them, so he married one of his sisters to a rich man from the tribe, and married the other to a poor man from another tribe. .

The sheikh of the tribe had an ostrich that he loved, and the young man's sister was sick and suffering from constant pain in her leg bones, so the young man stole the ostrich of the sheikh of the tribe and gave it to his sister and told her to extract ostrich fat from it because it is useful in treating joint pain, and he asked her not to tell anyone that she had an ostrich because he stole it from The house of the chief of the tribe.

The sheikh of the tribe learned that his ostrich had been stolen, so he got angry and went to one of the fortune-tellers to tell him who had stolen his ostrich. The sheikh of the tribe was very angry if someone dared to steal him and diminish his prestige, but the fortune-teller did not know anything, as she was just a swindler who fed on people's ignorance, but the fortune-teller was sharp. Intelligence, so she spread in the tribe that she suffers from bone pain and wants to buy ostrich fat for a large sum. The young man's sister greeded for money and went to the divination and gave her ostrich fat. Here the divination told the tribe's sheikh about the woman's condition, so he ordered him to be imprisoned.

The sheikh of the tribe ordered the men to bring the young man after he interrogated her and learned that her brother was the one who brought her the ostrich. His father not to give his secret to anyone.

The young man returned to his home and began to think about how he would get the ten camels, as he only had one camel. His sister's rich husband, and the rich man saw the camel, which appeared to be ill. He rebuked his wife's brother that he had brought his sick camel with him and asked him to keep it away from the rest of the camels so that they would not get sick like his camel.

The young man drove the camel away and returned to his sister's husband and asked him to help him and give him ten camels, but the rich man pretended to be poor, and asked him to leave and did not give him a bad, weak and weak sheep.

The young man went to his sister's poor husband and removed his camel from the rest of the camels, so the poor man was amazed at the young man's work and asked him to bring his camel closer to the rest of the camels of the tribe to eat with them. She helps him because they are richer than him, and indeed the poor man was able to collect ten camels and gave them to the young man who brought them back to the sheikh of the tribe.

Classic Happy National Pizza Day t-shirt

 History of National Pizza Day

Although the ancient Egyptians, Romans, and Greeks consumed flatbread with toppings, the modern pizza home is the Campania region of southwestern Italy, home to Naples. Founded around 600 BC as a Greek settlement, Naples in the 18th and early 19th centuries was a waterfront thriving city. Technically, it was an independent kingdom, famous for its crowds of poor workers, or lazaroni. These Neapolitans needed inexpensive food that could be consumed quickly. Pizza—flatbread with toppings that can be eaten at every meal—fulfilled this need. These early pizzas featured savory toppings such as tomatoes, cheese, oil, anchovies, and garlic. Wealthier Italian authors considered a Neapolitan innovation, often describing their eating habits as disgusting.

In 1861, Italy was finally united, and King Umberto I and Queen Margherita visited Naples in 1889. Legend has it that the traveling couple got bored with their steady diet of French cuisine and ordered a variety of pizzas from the city's Brandy Pizzeria, which was founded in 1760. The variety The one the Queen enjoyed most was called pizza mozzarella, a pie topped with soft white cheese, red tomatoes, and green basil—much like an Italian flag. Since then, this particular selection of toppings has been called the Margherita pizza.

However, even with the Queen's love of the dish, pizza remained unknown in Italy beyond the borders of Naples until the 1940s. Across the sea, immigrants to the United States from Naples were replicating their flatbreads in New York and other American cities. They'd come for the factory jobs but made a statement with their cooking. Relatively quickly, the textures and flavors of pizza began to interest non-Napolitans and non-Italians.

Can animals predict earthquakes before they happen?

Can animals predict earthquakes before they happen?

Science still rejects the hypothesis that animals can predict natural disasters, primarily earthquakes.
But the testimonies of many that these organisms predict earthquakes before they occur have aroused the interest of researchers who use the latest technologies to monitor different animals.

Historical records indicate that the inhabitants of ancient Greece witnessed a mass escape of animals such as rats and snakes from their areas, before a strong earthquake that occurred around 373 BC.

Martin Wikelski of the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Animal Behavior in Germany investigated the changing behavioral patterns of the animals days before the earthquake.

Wikielski implanted the sensors on six cows, five sheep and two dogs that were in an earthquake-prone area of northern Italy, and the experiment revealed a change in their behavior 20 hours before the earthquake.

The animals showed 50 percent more activity during the 45-minute time frame compared to the previous days, and through a series of calculations, the researchers accurately predicted an earthquake of magnitude above 4. Using the same method, the researchers predicted 7 out of 8 strong earthquakes.

On February 4, 1975, despite freezing temperatures, dozens of snakes emerged from their dens to hibernate in the weeks leading up to a 7.3-magnitude earthquake that struck the Chinese city of Haicheng. The reptiles' behavior, along with other incidents, helped convince authorities to evacuate the city hours before the massive earthquake.

For centuries, people have talked about the "unusual" behavior of animals just before seismic events: dogs barking constantly, cows stopping their milking, frogs jumping out of puddles. And a number of researchers tried to prove the existence of a link between the occurrence of earthquakes and the behavior of animals.

In a study whose results were published in the journal Physics and Chemistry of the Earth recently, scientists confirmed the ability of wild animals to predict earthquakes a few weeks before they occur, which may allow the use of cameras that monitor the dwellings and movements of animals in countries that are frequently exposed to earthquakes.

Scientists recorded, through a series of cameras that were installed in an area in Peru in the Amazon River basin, changes in the behavior of animals three weeks before the earthquake, which had a magnitude of 7, struck the region in 2011.

During a 23-day period before the earthquake, the scientists recorded five or fewer movements per day for these animals, compared to between five and 15 movements per day in the preceding period.

"Animals can help us understand the subtle changes that precede major earthquakes, by using their extraordinary ability to sense the environment around them," said the co-author of the report.
